Post-Incident Summary: Microsoft Dependency Disruption – Global – October 29, 2025
Incident Overview
On October 29, 2025, a widespread outage affecting Microsoft’s Azure Front Door service caused latency, timeouts, and service errors across Microsoft 365 and Azure platforms. This impacted Actionstep features that rely on Microsoft services.
Impact
During the incident, some users experienced difficulty accessing Microsoft-related functionality, including the Outlook Add-in, OneDrive integrations, and Office 365 email services. Service availability improved as Microsoft began recovery efforts, though intermittent issues persisted for some users.
Resolution
Microsoft reloaded configurations and rebalanced traffic across its network to restore full operational capacity. As of 23:20 UTC, Microsoft reported significant progress, and Actionstep services dependent on Microsoft systems have largely returned to normal operation.
Next Steps
Actionstep will continue monitoring Microsoft’s recovery and ensure all integrations remain stable. We are also reviewing dependency monitoring to improve early detection of third-party disruptions.
Acknowledgement
We appreciate your patience during this incident and apologize for the inconvenience. Ensuring reliable access to all integrated services remains a top priority for Actionstep.
